I have had a thermomix for nearly a year now and must say it is well worth every penny. To start with I wondered whether it was going to be another of those gadgets I am so well known for, but no this time I have found a winner. I no longer need any of my other kitchen gadgets the Thermomix replaces them all, so less clutter. As i use it nearly every day it is the only thing allowed to have pride of place on my kitchen bench. I have a family of 5 and that's five adults, so I find that the Thermomix not only makes my life easier in the kitchen it is plenty big enough to help me feed my tribe. Whether I am making my favourite coconut Thai soup, cooking butter chicken or the kids favourite sticky date puddings. Could I live with out this awesome machine, NO WAY!! Sue C & family
The Thermomix has turned our household around – our favourite, pumpkin soup, is now so easy and quick. I make gluten free breads and the kneading function is fantastic. Even the children love making regular batches of meringues using the thermomix. We are so glad we brought it. I’ve have just had my first ‘peek’ at your Thermo-tweak website, it's wonderful. I’ll definitely try many of those recipes. Great to have the pictures of the recipes and the easy to follow instructions. We have dairy-free and gluten free dietary requirements in our household nowadays . It is great to know your recipes are there to help in deciding on meals for families. I can’t wait to try the raw ice-cream, my ‘dairy free’ daughter has really missed not being able to eat traditional ice-cream. Now we can! Thank you. Sonia H & family
I LOVE my thermomix. Enjoying the recipes from the books. Don't think there is one that we haven't enjoyed, everything is so tasty! Trying to convert my own recipes too, which is interesting. We are eating much better, and you are right, I am sure not eating as much. So pleased at the speed at which food is prepared and cooked. Love the steaming. ALL Good and money well spent. I've been the proud and very lucky owner of a Thermomix for about 3 months or so now - and already I can't imagine my life without it! I'm a busy working mum (aren't we all!) and have passed on what we could call food preferences and intolerances (I'm a gluten free pescatarian) to my children - but really, in the real world, ours is basically a household of fussy eaters. There's a 12 year old who's fructose malapsorbent (no fructose, no gluten) who would live off meat and potatoes if I let him, a daughter at University who doesn't eat Red Meat or anything that isn't insanely good for you, and a partner who's basically vegetarian. I work at least 10 hours a day out of the house and am rarely home to start dinner before 7pm. Whilst everyone in the household is pretty good at doing their bit, it used to come down to me to cook on the weekends and leave it to them to reheat. I was always a little worried about the nutritional impact of essentially eating reheated food - not to mention the potential for ecoli! And whilst I love to cook, I didn't always relish half a weekend day devoted to cooking for the week ahead - knowing that there's no such thing as a 'normal' week and no matter how well you plan you'll always end up with extra kids in the house (or less when they go somewhere else) and you either don't have quite enough or you're throwing away leftovers again!
Since I've had the thermomix, I've still been preparing some things in advance but mostly I've got it ready to go when I walk in the door. We've been eating a lot of soups and curries - which are great in winter. But as things warm up I expect to be seeing a lot more salads and risottos. I've found it really quite easy to 'thermomize' my old favourite recipies - althought he recipies that come with the machine includes some to die for (The Torta Caprese and the Spicy Tomato/Lentil soup spring immediately to mind!) I'm also finding that I'm now making things that I previously would have bought - from stock to mayonnaise, tahini to tartare sauce. It really is quicker and easier to whip something up in the thermomix than it is to order and go out for takeaway - and all the ingredients are fresh and wholesome. Love it! Cath N & family
